Christian Benteke: Has caught the eye during his debut season in England

Benteke has been a revelation during his debut season in the Premier League, with the 22-year-old already looking like a snip at £7million.

The powerful frontman has shown that he can provide plenty of attacking thrust, but his displays will not have gone unnoticed by defensive enforcers.

N'Zogbia feels Benteke may now be targeted in an effort to limit his impact, but the Frenchman feels his highly-rated colleague has the ability to handle whatever is thrown at him.

He said: "I told him that in England the defenders won't laugh at you, trust me. You'll end up with a head cut or something.

"He has to make sure that every single ball he goes for, he has to go for it 100 per cent. Now he knows. He's brave enough to do that though - he has the size and strength.

"He's made a big impact but he's a young kid and this is his first year in the Premier League.

"So he'll still have to learn how to play against different defenders. They are really strong and it's going to be a massive challenge."
