Park Ji-sung: Unfazed by having captaincy taken off him

The former Manchester United man returned to the QPR side for Saturday's FA Cup draw with West Brom, but Clint Hill kept hold of the skipper's armband.

Park was handed the captaincy by former boss Mark Hughes in the summer, but Harry Redknapp has handed the armband to both Ryan Nelsen and Hill during the South Korean's absence through injury.

Park is happy to accept Redknapp's decision and remains committed to the cause.

"It's the manager's decision and I'm very happy to go along with that," said Park.

"I respect the manager's decision and I don't really care about that.

"I am an experienced player so I can help the team with or without the armband. It doesn't matter."

Park was making his first start since Redknapp took charge after being dogged by a troublesome knee injury.

The game against West Brom was Park's first start in over ten weeks and he believes it will not take long before he is back to full fitness.

"It was the first game for me. Chelsea was only five minutes so this is my first game back from injury," added Park.

"The 90 minutes will help me and it won't take long. In a few days and a couple of games I can be 100 per cent.
