Ricky van Wolfswinkel: Among those Norwich are looking at

The Canaries have made no secret of their desire to bring another frontman into Carrow Road, with Hughton having been left frustrated in his efforts so far.

He has revealed that Queens Park Rangers forward Jamie Mackie is in his thoughts, while Celtic's Gary Hooper remains a top target.

Van Wolfswinkel is another name to have been thrown into the mix, with the Dutchman having been linked with a move to England for some time.

He first burst onto the scene at Utrecht and has gone on to prove himself in the Portuguese top-flight.

Hughton has refused to speculate on the likelihood of the 24-year-old making his way to Norwich, but admits there is an interest there.

He said: "Yes, I have seen those reports on him and there is an interest from ourselves but how far that interest has gone from us I don't know. But certainly there is an interest."
