Christian Benteke: Took his tally to 14 goals on Saturday

The 22-year-old Belgium international has scored 14 goals for Villa this season despite the team's struggles and El Ahmadi reckons his team-mate is up there with the best.

"Chris is one of the best strikers in the Premier League," said El Ahmadi.

"There are games when he can be unplayable. Every week I am surprised by what he does and his ability.

"He is getting better every day. And he's what? Just turned 22? That's unbelievable. From the beginning he has been great for Aston Villa.

"How much is he worth now? I don't know about today's prices but this is a league which pays £40m and £50m for strikers. He can be priceless for us."

Benteke netted twice in Saturday's 3-3 draw at Everton but a last-minute headed equaliser from Marouane Fellaini leaves Paul Lambert's side stuck in the relegation zone.

While admitting the loss of two crucial points was a blow, El Ahmadi refused to point the finger at the team's defenders.

"It feels like a defeat - we were so close to getting three points," added the 28-year-old Moroccan.

"But Fellaini is a player who nobody can stop from a corner. So you cannot blame the defence for that goal."

may well get slated by other United fans for this, but out of the three contenders, I'd far prefer Liverpool to win the title. Yes some elements of their fanbase can be a bit OTT, yes they're our biggest rivals and yes it will make our poor season feel even more like the end of an era (Fergie's gone, Liverpool are back on top). However I just have to applaud Brendan Rodgers and the way he's turned Liverpool around in just a couple of seasons. It...

ooray! We are all excited now, we beat a very mediocre team! With all due respect to WHU supporters, not winning that game shouldn't even be a consideration. This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

I

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.

'Tactically Inept And Lacking In Belief And Style'

It's fair to say that the 'Moyes Out' brigade is understandably out in force, whilst there are also staunch defences of Mourinho and Arteta. Plus, Liverpool fans can almost taste it.
