Nick Blackman: Happy with faith shown in him since arrival at Reading

Blackman, who joined the Royals from Sheffield United, impressed in Saturday's 2-1 win, winning the free-kick for Jimmy Kebe's winner.

And the 23-year-old striker, while also hailing the fans, is relishing the prospect of developing at the Berkshire club.

"It was a great result for us - the boys really dug in and it was great to be a part of it," said Blackman.

"Everyone could see how hard we worked and the gaffer won't let that drop.

"The gaffer said 'go and score the winner' which showed he has great faith in me. I've not had that at previous clubs so it was great.

"It was brilliant - the fans were fantastic and right behind the boys. Even when we went to 1-1 they were right behind me and the rest of the team."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
