Clint Hill: Believes trip to Dubai could prove crucial

The west Londoners languish bottom of the Barclays Premier League and seven points adrift of safety with just 12 matches remaining.

With a break in fixtures due to their FA Cup exit, QPR flew off to Dubai on Tuesday - a break that Hill believes can help the ailing side.

"It goes without saying that the lads are all looking forward to spending a few days together in a decent climate as the countdown to the season's finale begins to gather pace," he told the club's official website.

"I'm told the gaffer only decided on this trip at the last minute, owing mainly to the recent poor weather in London, coupled with the fact some of the pitches at Harlington are heavily waterlogged, but we're pleased to be here and I'm a firm believer that these kind of trips can really help, both in terms of training and team bonding.

"The gaffer has made a few key additions to the squad over the last few weeks and this break will hopefully allow all of the new guys to settle in and familiarise themselves with their team-mates."
