Yes, what Liverpool need to do is spunk a load more money... that's just what they need... However if they do, i'd keep Rafa, Kenny and Brendan well away from it, as aside from the little man up top, there have been some truly shocking, very expensive mistakes made on the transfer front over the last 5 years... Sadly having a direct relation to the situation they find themselves in... I'd be very surprised if the yanks splash the cash...

I think we only need one or two good buys next window. Carroll to cover the top, and Spearing to cover Lucas. We may need a new back to cover the Carra. But have got Kelly coming back from injury. Will be interesting, but I do not expect much movement in.

one of the best signings Liverpool could make is persuading Jamie Carragher to stay on for another year....

jeffquek - Too right, it is annoying to see manager's waste money every week, like an irresponsible teenager, and then watch them and the players going back to the board again, cap in hand. A centre back, a strong midfielder and a striker who knows how to head a ball would do. If he's not going to keep Carroll, he can sell him and possibly Skrtel too. If he can break even on Borini he should sell too. He should be asked to balance the books this summer and get some of the younger players ready for more bench time.

No Reina, the board has already spend a lot of pounds. Continuo and Sturridge are good buys. It is now down to Rodgers to motivate, managed and play the right tactics.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how we compete next season, should be a truer gauge of how far Rodgers has taken us and I don't think there's a massive amount that needs changing. A new centre half, a defensive mid to cover Lucas and maybe a new winger and I think we'll be ready to truly push for 4th. ***NOTE*** I'm not saying it's our year just feeling positive about the improvement.
