ricky come on lad I left a fair comment about you guys being the best team to come to Anfield this season and with a world class striker you could challenge for the title, but now I'm a myopic tw@t!! I'm not getting in to name calling, I just f***ing hate the double standards in today's media and I used Bale as an example. It wouldn't be a normal F365 comments page if we all agreed!!

I've obviously missed the face clutching after Lucas. I couldn't care less about the head injury as Gerrard still smashed into his head, whether it was fair or not. It is possible for a player to get hurt without cheating you know. The problem you have, which is a problem a lot of myopic fans have, is that you think everyone is like you. Most fair minded Tottenham fans I know cannot stand Bale's playacting and we want him to stop. We can see the problem and we don't deny it. Like Suarez, he has dived and won pens and he's also been fouled and not won pens. This was actually a fair minded comments section until you started bleating about this rubbish. Bale got smashed in the head by Gerrard, even if it was by follow through of a fair challenge, so stop being a t**t. As for this 'media bias' you speak of, Bale has been caned in the media for diving, so I'm not sure you have a leg to stand on. It's all they've talked about all week, even showing a highlight of his apparent 'dive' he did at Sunderland that was actually a foul. The reason Suarez gets a lot of attention is due to additional things to diving, like the whole Evra thing, biting an opponent etc. Thankfully he is now being talked about as the extraordinary talent he is. He is a great player and like Bale, there are no better players to watch in the Prem in full flow. If only they cut out the histrionics.

ricky the challenge where you say he had a "head injury" came from a fair challenge where Gerrard won the ball with a great header and Bale crumpled to the floor like he'd been shot in the head. It was never a free kick and straight after he came back on the pitch a few seconds later, it was like nothing had ever happened and he whipped in a lovely cross for Vertonghen to head home. The worst though was when Lucas touched him on the shoulder and he went down grabbing his face as though he'd been elbowed, it was a blatant cheat and an attempt to get Lucas sent off. However what pissed me off the most is the double standards in the media, the complete disregard of any of Bales cheating. If it was Suarez who grabbed his face after being touched on the shoulder then went down grabbing his face in an attempt to get a player sent off, it would be all over the back pages complete with quotes from all and sundry.

I didn't see any 'cheating' from Bale yesterday. He got a nasty bash on the head from Gerrard which he was booed for (that was nice wasn't it, booing a player with a head injury) but until the dive v Inter he had 'behaved' himself for months now. Bit petty to pick him up on it and say he was 'constantly cheating', because that simply wasn't the case. @uncle-muller - Thanks, I think we actually played very well yesterday despite having to change the balance of the side after Lennon was ruled out. We still have some big players out - Obviously Barndoor was missing, Kaboul has been missing all season, Sandro ruled out too, but all teams have injuries to an extent. It's so frustrating as you say regarding the striker issue. We could really have challenged. All in all I'm happy with how we're playing and I don't think AVB will dwell on a couple of daft errors. I think if we'd lost the previous 4 games, Lloris would have played safe and put that ball in the stand, maybe a little bit of overconfidence crept in. @cozens - I wouldn't pin all your hopes on us slipping up. This will be a blip.

Spurs are a quality powerful side, best to come to Anfield this season. With a world class striker they could be title contenders, no doubt. I think Dembele is awesome, my man of the match. I was glad we capitalised on Spurs errors and I think the turning point was the sub of Allen for Coutinho. Coutinho had a great first half but he gassed out early in the second half and Spurs threatened to run riot. Allen coming on allowed us to put a foot on the ball and get some sort of control back. Not a vintage display by any means but a great 3 points. One thing that did pass me off, was that there was no mention of Bales blatant cheating throughout the whole game but they highlight a few nothings from Suarez!! I thought when Bale grabbed his face after Lucas touched him on the shoulder was disgusting. We've had to put with all kinds of accusations over Suarez (and I'm not saying he's a saint) but the fleet street mafia think the sun shines out of Bales arse so they don't say a thing, he's a great player sure but he's the worst cheat i've seen in the league. One last thing, that was the best atmosphere at Anfield in a long time.

Was a very good game yesterday enjoyed it (mostly for the win!). Thought we were great for the first 25 minutes and then once Dembele started getting into the game, the game changed to Spurs favour (what a player he is, by the way) until the equaliser , when the game seemed to go back and forth. @ ricky villa - I'll back you up by saying not only our Spurs not a team of "10 cloggers and Bale", I'd go as far to say the best side that we've played at Anfield this season are Spurs.

Have to say this is the politest pre game thread between supporters I have ever seen! And so far not been poluted by a load of ManU trolls. As a Liverpool fan I would like to continue the theme and say Spurs were much better than us after we scored the 1st and I was dreading a kicking. We always looked good on the break and Coutinho continues to impress, Downing IS getting better he has shown glimpses inpast but now more consistently. For Spurs Dembele was imense and (through gritted teeth) Bale is class (even though the Lucas challenge never even touched his face). I thought a draw a fair result but over the moon with a win.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game (and the result, naturally). I have been impressed with Spurs this season - they have a good mix of power and pace going forward, and are well balanced defensively. Hope they finish above Arsenal! It might not have been the best Liverpool performance of the season, but we're starting to show a bit more mental strength when we go behind. The attacking play at times was excellent. Defensively we still have a lot to sort out though.

Credit where it's due- Spurs were good in midfield but didn't really go anywhere with it most of the time, whereas every time the Liverpool front three got the ball in the first half they looked like scoring. Coutinho looks a player. Walker definitely more to blame for the second goal, but Lloris shoudl still do better. Still, good game between teams definitely each stronger than they were last season.
