I blame terrible team selections and then the wrong substitutions in both Milan and then on Sunday. That falls down to the manager. I like AVB, but he's had a really terrible week at the wrong time of the season.

sh*t happens, was just one of those results. Still, we should have grabbed a point at the end.

The issue is quite simply the injury to Lennon. Rather than replace him with Holtby and keep the same team, AVB decided to put f''king Livermore in the middle and shunt Dembele out to the right. Even Carroll, a 9 year old, would be a better choice than Livermore. Then, after the epic failing of that against Liverpool (I'm trying to delete the debacle of Inter from my mind) he then totally changes the team for Fulham. BAE on the left, Vertonghen at left back, Siggy on the right....FFS! Adebayor still in there meaning we have ten men on the pitch. I'm baffled by the changes to the team he has made that have totally derailed all the hard work done this season. It's the first time this season that I'm really bloody angry with a result

A massive lost the last two PL games has been Lennon. He gives us genuine width. I think when he isn't available bale should go to the left. Or put walker right wing with naughton rb. We have no creative cm, apart from Holtby who for some reason is being overlooked. And Defoe NEEDS to play now, we have to convert the chances we'll have and Defoe is 100x better at that than ade. This is Spurs if wr are to finish in top 4 we all know we won't make that easy. I personally think its out of us and chelsea. They have a lot of games in a little time, still in 2 cups and have us to play.

We could have had a months holiday and been injury free and that still wouldn't have explained the lack of guile in todays performance. We have been beating teams on pace and of course the impossible strikes of Bale. As much as it pains me to say this- we never replaced Modric or VDV with what we have now. Dembele is class but I'm hoping there are additions that Levy will pursue in the summer. Fulham was one game in the run-in which I expected to see a result, no disrespect to them, but we were at home against the same side we beat away four months ago. Its fine to surf the wave of good feeling that has followed our unbeaten stretch but thats a long time over now and AVB has to show some managerial nous and start grinding out wins at this business end of the season, otherwise what can we all say? Next year for another CL spot....maybe? Right now to be honest Im hoping we can at least make the Europa final because holding on to third in the Prem, with the fixtures we have left, seems nothing short of a gulf compared to a continuing cup run.

AVB is correct not to blame fatigue. He should blame the club mentality. The club is not used to being successful and it does not sit well with them. Rather like a tramp in a new suit. The smell of failure is evident. You won't enjoy your collapse but your bigger better looking neighbours will.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
