Ruddy has been out since November after suffering a serious thigh injury in the 1-1 draw away to Everton and he faces a late fitness test ahead of a game that would see Norwich's relegation fears eased if they could defeat the Royals.

"We'll make a decision on John Ruddy over the next day or so. Anthony Pilkington is fit and we're hoping Bradley Johnson will be too," said Hughton.

"Reading are going to be fighting. They'll be trying everything to get the result.

"We have a committed group of players who train well every day. There's a good spirit and we have to look forward to the challenge.

"It is a big game for us, there's no doubt about that. It's an opportunity to get points.

"It is in our hands. We'll go into the game in a very confident mood because the spirit here is very good."

But Hughton was quick to deny that Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel may not be on his way to Carrow Road if Norwich are relegated, despite the Holland international having agreed to join the club next season.

"Any suggestion that there's a relegation clause in Ricky van Wolfswinkel's contract is not fact. He will join us on July 1," he added.

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.
