The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Werder Bremen and had been linked with a move to Bayer Leverkusen earlier in the month as part of the deal which took Andre Schurrle to Stamford Bridge.

But Zorc says that it is the player's wish to join the Champions League runners-up.

Speaking to Ruhr Nachrichten newspaper, Zorc said: "We are interested in the signature of Kevin De Bruyne. We are not at the helm in this respect, of course.

"I am however able to confirm the player does want to make a transfer to our club."

Dortmund have also been linked with Ajax's attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen, with some reports suggesting that a deal had already been struck.

Zorc says that is not the case though, adding: "I have been very surprised to read this."

s it the same people that complain about Chelsea that complain about Mayweather? You should by now know what to expect from both, if you can't appreciate how good they are at nullifying their opponents then don't watch them.

do concede though, that getting rid of Luiz has made them less entertaining. In the same way that driving with both eyes open is less exciting, but probably a good idea.
