Bale has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer after his stunning form last season saw him land a haul of personal awards.

The north London outfit insist he is not for sale, despite interest from European giants Real Madrid, and are determined to retain the services of their star player.

Wales international Bale showed no signs of rustiness as he opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a great strike which flew into the top corner.

But Swindon levelled in the 76th minute as Andy Williams' deflected shot looped in over Brad Friedel.

Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is pleased to have Bale back, telling Sky Sports News: "It's nice to see him in good form.

"Pre-season is long and we need to concentrate on our work. It's good to see him at that level but it is just the beginning."

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
