The Cottagers had been concerned over the potential impact a strike would have on the ability of their safety staff to attend the ground in sufficient time and numbers to comply with the terms of their safety certificate.

However, the planned 48-hour strike by members of the RMT and TSSA unions in a row over ticket office closures, which was due to start at 9pm on Tuesday, was called off after a last-minute deal was agreed.

A statement on Fulham's official website read: "Fulham Football Club can confirm that, due to the resolution of the proposed London Underground strike action, its game versus Liverpool on Wednesday night will go ahead as planned."

Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen insists the potential strike has not affected his preparations for the game.

"It has not been too much of a concern to us, it's not something we could allow to affect us," he said.
