Jose Mourinho has again refused to accept Chelsea are Premier League title favourites - despite the possibility they will move seven points clear with a victory over Tottenham on Saturday Night Football.

Chelsea will be looking to take advantage of the fact that Liverpool have no fixture this weekend, whilst Arsenal and Manchester City are in FA Cup action - but Mourinho says his immediate focus is on securing a top-four finish.

"We want to try and win and they will want to do the same," Mourinho said.

"We want our top-four position to be safe and in this moment the biggest threat to that top-four position is Tottenham because they are fifth and they are the closest team to the top four.

"So if you can get a result against them you can say our objective of finishing in the top four is in a very good direction.

"I keep saying (going seven points clear) is not a realistic position. A realistic situation is teams with the same number of matches and in that situation you can say 'I am in front, I am behind' or 'I have some points advantage or disadvantage'.

"When some teams have more matches than other teams, then it is not real. So I do not look at the table, I just look to another game. Tomorrow is another game and we will just try and win."

Tottenham may not have won at Stamford Bridge for 24 years, but Mourinho is adamant they will provide his side with another stern test.

He said: "Tottenham is always a good team, they are always a difficult opponent. For me, it is always a difficult match. I don't remember ever having an easy match against Tottenham. For me it is always a difficult game."

Mourinho will have Eden Hazard fit to face Tottenham, despite suffering an ankle knock after coming on as a second-half substitute in Belgium's friendly with the Ivory Coast, but Ashley Cole is out after picking up a knee ligament injury in training.
