The 25-year-old has moved for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-year deal at Turf Moor.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche is confident he can get the best out of Jutkiewicz, as the player continues his progression.

Jutkiewicz impressed during a loan spell at Bolton at the end of last season, scoring seven goals in 20 games, and the Championship club were also reported to be after his signature.

He began his career with Southampton before moving on to Swindon and subsequently Everton, who loaned Jutkiewicz to Plymouth, Huddersfield and Motherwell to pick up some experience.

Dyche said: "We're looking forward to getting him into the group and making him feel welcome here.

"I still think there is development in Lukas. He's 25 and has been around a little bit now and he finished last season very strongly.

"I feel there is even more to come and he'll be hungry for that.

"He'll be working with a good group who are all hungry to not only achieve things but to keep pushing themselves as individuals. That's a big part of our mentality and he'll fit into that very nicely.

"He's a physical presence who can hold the ball up very well and link play. We think there are goals in him and it is very similar to the Sam Vokes story where he's always done well and we're looking for him to build on what he's done.

"There is a nice demand now in that area of the pitch as all the players offer something different to the team so we're happy with how that is developing."

Jutkiewicz later tweeted: "It feels like I've left two clubs today. Thanks you to Boro for the last two years. I've met some wonderful people in the north east.

"I enjoyed my time there (Bolton) as much as I ever have anywhere during my career, I will be forever grateful for that.

"I'm excited for this new challenge that has presented itself and I can't wait to get started with my new team mates."

Blimey, Jutkiewicz, Reid, Sordell, Taylor - could it be any more obvious Burnley are planning for life in the Championship next season? This is the earliest I've ever seen anyone throw in the towel!

heyremind me of Utd's treble winning side. Swashbuckling and risk prone. We ha Jaap Stam to paper over the cracks at the back though. Not sure they have their Jaap yet.

he solution is to not feel sorry for any of Jabba, Gold or Sullivan. They're all deeply unpleasant and all deserve each other. If only West Ham would sign Barton and Suarez then no one would ever need to despise any other club.
