Leicester boss Nigel Pearson has confirmed his interest in veteran Argentine midfielder Esteban Cambiasso.

The 33-year-old is a free agent after he left Inter Milan following a ten-year stint at the San Siro.

A number of Premier League clubs have been linked, including Leicester, and Pearson has admitted he has looked at a possible deal.

"I am not going to say no, because we have [been interested]," Pearson told Radio Leicester when asked about a possible deal.

“We like to try to do business in the right way and make sure all parties' interests are looked after for the right reason. But for some reason, some balloon head has decided to leak it.

"But what's disappointing is that some clown somewhere down the line has leaked information that is sensitive."
