The Northern Irishman has been out of work since he left Celtic in May and reports suggested he was one of the frontrunners to succeed Tony Pulis at Palace.

But Lennon is yet to be approached by the Eagles who are hoping to name a new boss this week following the shock departure of Pulis on the eve of the new Premier League campaign.

Co-chairman Steve Parish admitted recently he had only interviewed Malky Mackay and Tim Sherwood, who have both dropped out of the running for the role.

Mackay is no longer being considered after he was caught up in allegations of racism and homophobia brought by former club Cardiff, while Sherwood ruled himself out last week.

Former West Brom boss Steve Clarke is one of the latest names to be linked with the job, while the odds have been slashed on Neil Warnock making a return to Selhurst Park.

The 65-year-old worked on a tight budget during his previous spell at Palace, but still managed to steer the side into the Championship play-offs.

Nobody being interviewed and a new manager being announced imminently, sounds like Millen is going to be given the job. RELEGATION on its way.
