Julio Cesar: QPR goalkeeper confident Mark Hughes' men will break their Prem

The pressure is mounting on Loftus Road boss Mark Hughes after their 10th top-flight game without success this season as Djibril Cisse's second-half leveller secured a point against the winless Royals.

Hughes invested heavily in the transfer market over the summer in a bid to prevent a repeat of last season's relegation battle, but is yet to see the desired results.

Brazil international Cesar was one of several high-profile names signed up by the West London club and believes that success will come if the new-look side is given time.

Cesar told Globo Esporte: "The board signed 11 players and it's hard to get 11 players to play and making the team gel, it takes time. It takes a while to find the team's identity.

"We are on the right track, although we have not won in the league yet. We had good games against big teams but we didn't get the results. It is not enough to play well when it's the final result that counts."

Cesar moved to the Premier League from Inter Milan over the summer and admitted the opportunity to experience life in the English capital was a major factor in his decision.

He added: "The first reason to accept their project was to live in London; the quality of life is amazing, as is the opportunity I'm giving my family. To have life and cultural growth were important in my decision too, and for me as well.

"QPR showed me a very nice project and my biggest motivation is that this project becomes a reality. The fact I'm learning another language such as English also motivates me, as it will open more doors.

"I joined them thinking about my future after football."

And Cesar has hinted that he would be interested in making the move into management, possibly even at QPR, when the time comes for him to hang up his boots.

"The fact I speak Italian, Portuguese and now English will give opportunities once I retire, maybe even at QPR, making their project become a reality," he said.

"The club's board might remember me in the future."
