Akos Buzsaky: Knee injury will keep him out until next season

The Hungarian midfielder became a free agent last month after ending a short-term spell at Championship side Barnsley. He left QPR at the end of last season after failing to sign a new contract, and earlier this season played for Portsmouth in League One.

Buzsaky has now been diagnosed with a knee injury, and will work on his fitness in order to hope to gain a club next season.

"Last summer QPR offered me a one-year extension but I wanted regular first-team football so I rejected this contract by the club," Buzsaky told Nemzeti Sport.

"Subsequently, I realise that I should have penned that deal but as always I stand by that decision.

"It was another wrong decision to say no to Bristol City, who offered me a two-year contract with good conditions, but I didn't want to fight against relegation."
