The 24-year-old has been in impressive form for Rangers, scoring 14 goals in 27 appearances this season.

Austin has helped the R's climb to second in the Sky Bet Championship, eight points behind Leicester with a game in hand.

He hopes that he is able to score the goals that fire his side to promotion and achieve his ambition of playing in the top division.

QPR have back-to-back home games this week, hosting Bolton on Tuesday night before a live televised Sky Sports clash against Austin's former club Burnley.

He told The Independent: "I'm a centre-forward, so I want to score as many times as I can. Every time I go across that white line, I want to score.

"We scored three goals against Ipswich, all right we won 3-1, but I didn't score and I wanted to. I want to score as many goals as I can to get us promoted.

"That's my determination. Hopefully, in May, my dream will come true."

enteke is an absolute steal for £32.5m, he would get into any team in the world (except Barcelona) at the moment. I've seen many very good strikers in my 30+ years as a Villa fan. This guy is the best without question.
