The players Redknapp confirmed he wants are Desportivo Brasil forward Guillherme Dellatorre, Wolves' Kevin Doyle, Will Keane of Manchester United and Aaron Hughes from Fulham.

He also has an interest in former Arsenal striker Eduardo, but he stated QPR had given up on Inter Milan's Ishak Belfodil.

"We tried to get a lad from Inter Milan but that fell through," he said of Belfodil.

He then confirmed that deals for Doyle and Hughes were done, with the duo arriving from Wolves and Fulham respectively.

He was pleased to land Hughes, saying: "He's versatile. He can play centre-back or right-back and he's good enough to walk this division."

On a prospective deal for Keane, he said: "We have been talking to him and we think we are quite close, a young player with fantastic potential."

He was also happy to bring on board Dellatorre, and added: "He is a young player from Brazil. I would be a liar if I said I knew a lot about him but he has appeared on the radar and is probably one for the future, he may be now but he is here now and my scouts have seen him."

He confirmed that Eduardo had been talked about and said: "He's a name we've been looking at.

"He was mentioned to us and it's not gone any further than that.

"At the moment there isn't a lot of time to do much else and we'll have to wait and see."

e was right to leave, but not just because of the money City were coming into. If I remember rightly he had a reasonable amount of chances to shine at City, but he never passed the bloody ball. Loads of aimless dribbles and 40 yard shots and not much else. I would say that if he had learnt to be a bit more of a team player he may have done better at City.
