The forward, on loan from Manchester United, joined the club during the January transfer window until the end of the season, and has set himself a target of playing 12 times for the Loftus Road outfit.

This is not the first time that Keane has been farmed out this campaign after he spent two months at Wigan Athletic, where he played four games without finding the net before being forced back to his parent club with a groin injury.

Speaking to GetWestLondon, Keane said: "Watching Rangers with two up front, there was a lot of space in behind I could fill. At Man United, I was either on my own in a 4-3-3 or playing just in behind the striker.

"If I could play a dozen games and get goals, it would be good exposure and it's better than playing for the U21s back home."

The 21-year-old also commented on the comparisons between his parent club and QPR, saying: "The position the team are in and the qualities and experience of the manager was the reason I'm here. They're used to going for trophies at Man U - so this is similar."

xcellent! Not sure if he is any good as a manager (never thought about it) but the 'headbutt in the technical area' and what he said to Pelligrini were just brilliant, it was as if he was trying to recreate the end of the Alan Partridge Xmas special when Alan punched a man in a wheelchair and verbally abused Tony Heirs.
