Furlong, the son of Paul Furlong who made 162 appearances in his five years at the club, has led Rangers to the top of the Professional Development League Two (South) and has also made eight appearances for the Elite Development Squad this season.

Mitchell leads the scoring charts for Rangers' Under-18s with nine goals from 20 appearances and scored the opening goal in the Elite Development Squad's 1-1 draw at Charlton Athletic.

The pair have also celebrated success Stateside last summer as Furlong captained the young Rangers to glory in the Newark International Soccer Classic and Mitchell's five goals - including a hat-trick against Inter Milan - saw him take home the Golden Boot.

Meanwhile, QPR Under-21 defender Manny Monthe, 19, has joined Skrill Premier side Southport on loan until the end of the season.
