The England U21 international is currently taking in a loan spell at Queens Park Rangers and will remain with the Sky Bet Championship club until the 2013/14 campaign comes to a close.

He has made 24 appearances for Harry Redknapp's side since moving across London in September and will be hoping to take in a promotion party before he heads home.

The target for the 21-year-old midfielder will then be to convince the coaching staff at White Hart Lane that he is deserving of regular first-team opportunities.

He has made just a handful of senior appearances for Spurs so far, but is convinced that he has what it takes to compete at Premier League level.

Carroll is, however, aware that competition for places is fierce and has hinted that he would consider a permanent switch to QPR if a suitable offer was tabled.

He said in the Fulham Chronicle: "I want to make it at Tottenham, that's my main aim.

"I've been there since I was eight so it's obviously a club close to my heart.

"I'm contracted at Spurs and it's down to the two clubs to talk.

"QPR's a great club and I've enjoyed my time here, so we'll see what happens."

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
