Regardless of how QPR fare in the final few weeks of the 2013/14 campaign, it promises to be a busy off-season at Loftus Road.

Were Redknapp's men to secure an immediate return to the Premier League, then additions would be required to help compete at that level.

If the capital club come unstuck in the play-offs, then certain players will leave and a rebuilding project will be undertaken.

Until Redknapp knows which course of action he will be forced to take, he says he will continue to ignore those who are already pushing potential recruits in his direction.

He has also played down any concerns regarding an impending knee operation and the impact that will have on his ability to wheel and deal.

Redknapp said in the Fulham Chronicle: "People are ringing me up saying, 'What are you looking for next season?'

"I haven't a clue because I don't know what league we'll be in.

"If you get promoted, you're looking at players who will keep you in the Premier League, it's a different scene.

"As for my op, it's only a phone call that's needed most of the time, and not as if you're running round the country chasing people."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
