Hoilett has endured a stop-start season due to injuries but came off the bench in Rangers' last two matches against Millwall and Watford to prove his fitness.
And the former Blackburn wideman hopes to earn a place in Harry Redknapp's starting XI for the semi-final first leg, which will be against either Wigan or Reading on May 9.
"Every player wants to start," he told the club's official website.
"I just want to help the team whenever I'm on and do my best, and that's what I've been doing to get ready for the playoffs.
"We want to be on form going into them. There are a lot of players contesting for a place in the starting 11. The players are ready to get the results we need to get back into the Premier League."
