The Gers have taken the first step on the road to recovery, with the Scottish Third Division title wrapped up, but they are still paying the price for previous financial mismanagement.

That, along with a transfer embargo, means McCoist will have his hands tied this summer.

He is, however, hoping to make a number of additions to his Ibrox ranks and is confident he can unearth a few hidden gems.

McCoist said in the Daily Record: "I know what's required to be done next at the club and I, with the help of others, will get us there.

"Our internal situation won't have changed much.

"I'll still be going after free transfers and asking players to sign for Rangers when we still don't know which division we'll be playing in.

"There are those who won't fancy that idea, but they'll all be free transfers."

McCoist may be in a position to welcome loan stars Carlos Bocanegra and Dorin Goian back into his plans next season, but admits to being unsure as to whether they will return to Scotland from Racing Santander and Spezia respectively.

He added: "I don't know the outcome there, but everybody can see we need guys to strengthen the side."

f Klopp is available and willing to go there, they have to sign him up. Far better manager than Rodgers. The reason Liverpool fail in so many big games is the inflexible nature of their manager and his inability to find strikers who fit into his inflexible style of play. A feature of nearly every game that the team comes up short is the way the opposition midfield appears to overpower them. It's too easy.

est player award should not go to a player who's second best at all the importent categories (i.e goals, assists etc) just because his team is at the top. If you are not first you are last; if you're second you are the first loser ( looking at you Hazard). David De Gea for POTY.
