The 25-year-old was released by Southend United after making 80 appearances for them in the last three years.

Mohsni is the latest centre-back to be linked to Rangers with Christophe Berra and Boris Pandza also catching the club's attention.

McCoist has already signed seven players this summer as he prepares for the challenges of Division Two.
