The winger signed a four-year contract at Hillsborough on Monday and Jones says that patience was key in getting his man.

Jones told club's official website: "We had to wait a while to get this one done and had to show a lot of patience. The boy made it obvious he wanted to come to us, but there were a few hurdles to clear and I'm delighted he is now our player.

"A lot of hard work has gone into this one and I'm pleased for everyone involved. He won't be required to settle in because of when he was here on loan. That is a big bonus and will work in our favour.

"I have every confidence in him and so does everybody else. I think people forget that he is still a prospect and that's because of the impact he had here last season."
