Mikele Leigertwood: Confident Reading will respond to their Capital One Cup disa

Brian McDermott's squad will still be in shock after blowing a four-goal lead to lose 7-5 after extra time to the Gunners on Tuesday night in the Capital One Cup.

But Reading will need to shake off any hangover as quickly as possible ahead of Sunday's Premier League basement battle with fellow winless strugglers QPR at Loftus Road.

And Leigertwood said in The Standard: "Arsenal are a good side and if we don't do the stuff that we're good at, then we'll get punished.

"Unfortunately that was the case in the second half.

"The QPR match will be a test but we've shown time and time again that we can bounce back. There's no reason why we can't go and get a positive result on Sunday.

"They've spent a lot of money over the summer but things aren't clicking for them. But we're not worried about them. We focus on ourselves."
