Jay Tabb: Played for Reading at QPR on Sunday

A 1-1 draw at QPR on Sunday means the Royals sit 18th in the table with just five points from their opening nine games.

But Tabb, 28, believes the only problem plaguing Brian McDermott's side is their inability to keep hold of a lead.

"The team's playing well at the moment - you can't say that anyone's playing bad," he told the club's official website.

"We can't be too hard on ourselves - we've scored in almost every game and I think there's some great performances out there.

"We're looking and addressing things as we've been ahead in five of our nine games this season.

"We probably need to stop the other side having so many shots and put our bodies on the line."

Reading host Norwich at the weekend with Chris Hughton's side hitting form after a rocky start to the season and Tabb is targeting a maiden league win in front of the Reading fans.

"It's a home game on Saturday and one we expect to win. We're scoring goals at home and we're playing well," he said.

"We just need to get that first win in front of our fans and hopefully go on a little run."
