The former England left-back was forced off late on during last weekend's 1-1 draw against Millwall with a knee problem.

He was replaced by Stephen Kelly, who will be on standby to deputise at Hillsborough.

"Wayne was feeling his knee, he wasn't moving all that well so we kept him going for a little bit," manager Nigel Adkins said.

"We've got a good group and an international to come on in Stephen Kelly. He did well and made the impact we needed with Wayne going off."
