The Royals were beaten 1-0 at home to Blackburn and now find in-form Wigan breathing down their necks for the last play-off spot.

But they have the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways when the division's bottom team visit the Madejski.

"It wasn't a great game, but we've got to pick ourselves up for the next one," said Adkins.

"We've got an honest bunch of players all working hard. We'll draw a line under it, debrief the game and go again.

"Next week is another home game, every match presents its different challenges. On Saturday it wasn't to be but now we start preparing for next week."
