Mooney enjoyed a stellar campaign with Orient last season, playing an instrumental role in helping them reach the League One play-off final.

The Irishman scored 21 goals in all competitions and also laid on 12 assists for Orient last season despite missing almost two months of action through injury.

Mooney's performances at Brisbane Road have not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid, with the likes of his former club Reading and Ipswich believed to be monitoring his situation.

The 29-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at Orient and the League One club could face a battle to keep hold of him if his suitors firm up their interest this summer.
