Chris Todd and Danny Stevens both netted twice as Blue Square Premier high-fliers Torquay stunned Yeovil with a 4-1 win at Plainmoor. Torquay dominated the opening stages but it was the League One Glovers who took the lead in the 25th minute with their first shot of the match when Marcus Stewart hammered in his second goal of the season from close range.
Anthony Barry almost doubled the lead when his 20-yarder came back off the bar but the Gulls turned the match on its head before the break with two quickfire goals.
Gulls captain Todd rose to head in Kevin Nicholson's corner on 43 and two minutes later Stevens benefited from suicidal defending to smash in from 12 yards.
Torquay extended the lead in the 64th minute when Nicholson's corner was cleared to Lee Mansell and his shot found Todd at the far post to bundle in.
Yeovil had strong appeals for a penalty waved away when Stewart's shot appeared to be handled by Todd but Stevens added the fourth in the final minute with a delightful finish.
