Republic of Ireland side Sligo battled to a goalless draw against Banga of Lithuania, with John Coleman's men hopeful of a positive result in front of home support at The Showgrounds.

However, Welsh Premier League Bangor City's hopes of progress are all but over following a 4-0 defeat to Stjarnan in Iceland.

The home side went ahead through a penalty from Olafur Karl Finsen on 13 minutes after Anthony Miley fouled Vemmelund.

Before the visitors could regroup, Veigar Gunnarsson (16) had made it 2-0.
