The Staggies were heading towards a 2-1 win until substitute John Sutton struck in the third minute of added time but Adams was content to reflect on his side's strong start to their first campaign in the top flight.
"We're happy to come away with the point, but disappointed we haven't come away with three points because we were in that position," said Adams, whose side have now played all 11 teams.
"It was two (points) dropped at the end, because we were 2-1 up with the last kick of the ball.
"But overall maybe a point's fair. Hearts definitely played better than us in the first half, put us under a lot of pressure.
"I'd expect nothing else. We're in a different planet from Hearts. We come from a wee village up in Dingwall.
"It's not easy coming here, just coming up from the First Division. We've done exceptionally well in our first 11 games."
