Sam Morrow's header onto the crossbar was as close as either side came to breaking the deadlock at the Global Energy Stadium.

He said: "It was a game of two halves probably. We had the better of the first half and St Mirren had the better of the second half.

"We were unfortunate not to go ahead with Sam Morrow's header which came off the crossbar. But St Mirren were unlucky not to score as well in the second half, they put us under a bit of pressure.

"We did really well in the first half but we didn't finish them off when we had the dominance. But credit to St Mirren they did well in the second half."

The crowd were baying for a red card after Saints' Lee Mair brought down Iain Vigurs on the edge of the penalty area but Adams agreed with referee Steven McLean's decision to let him remain on the pitch.

Adams said: "I don't think Vigurs had total control of the ball and I think that's why Steven McLean didn't send him off. That's the way I saw it."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
