Steve Lomas savours point against Hearts

Suspensions had robbed Lomas of three defenders, and the visitors opened the scoring through John Sutton on 15.

Rowan Vine levelled matters less than 90 seconds later before Andrew Driver restored the Edinburgh side's lead shortly before the break.

However, Steve MacLean equalised on the hour and Lomas singled out praise for David McCracken who returned from injury to provide emergency cover at the heart of the back four.

He said: "I don't normally give individual praise but I thought David was absolutely fantastic.

"To come back four weeks after suffering a triple fracture, which needed plating and screws to put it back together, I give him all the credit in the world.

"I also thought Tom Scobbie played well, playing out of position at centre-half.

"I give the lads credit for fighting back twice and if we'd had that break of the ball at the end then we could have gotten the win.

"I thought we shaded it and had we gone on to win the game no one would have had any complaints."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
