Pat Fenlon hopes new signings Paul Heffernan and Abdellah Zoubir will provide Hibernian with an attacking spark they missed against Ross County.

The Hibees have been struggling in front of goal and were jeered by their own fans after a 0-0 draw with Ross County left them still seeking a first home win of the season.

And Fenlon said: "I don't think there are too many positives we can take from that. We had a lot of possession of the ball, but we have to be more precise and quicker in moving the ball, especially at home.

"We seem to be able to do it away from home but we have to be more precise when we get into good areas at Easter Road.

"Of course we are hopeful the new players will make a difference. Zoubir gives us something different to what we have and Paul is a different dimension to the type of strikers we have. They will be good additions to the squad."

Another fairly recent arrival, James Collins, hit the post with a header, and is yet to score in five games since arriving from Swindon.

Fenlon said: "James got on the end of a great ball in and produced a great header and, to be honest, we haven't given him enough of that service. I think you can see what he can do if you get the service into him.

"As with every forward, you have to keep working hard to come out of these things. His record of scoring goals is very good and he needs to keep plugging away."

Adams: We should have won

Ross County had their chances to win the match and boss Derek Adams was proud of the way they bounced back from a midweek League Cup loss to Stranraer.

"We had a really long journey in midweek but, in our last two league matches, we have kept two clean sheets and picked up four points," said Adams.

"I think we should have won the match, we have had three gilt-edged opportunities.

"For a team like Ross County to come to Hibernian and come away with a point is very good and we should have won it. We were the better side over 90 minutes, nobody can argue against that."
