With Celtic Park unavailable for the scheduled August 9 start due to the Commonwealth Games, the Hoops must wait seven days for former owner Fergus McCann to unfurl their third successive championship flag at home to Dundee United.

All other matches take place as planned, with newly-promoted Dundee's first game back in the top-flight at home to Kilmarnock and neighbours United travelling to Pittodrie to face Derek McInnes' Aberdeen.

Hamilton Accies, who earned their place among Scotland's elite at the expense of Hibernian last season, kick off their campaign when entertaining Inverness Caley Thistle at New Douglas Park.

Motherwell, who edged out Aberdeen to secure second place in the table last month, are at home to Tommy Craig's St Mirren while Scottish Cup holders St Johnstone travel to Dingwall to face Ross County.

Four days later (August 13), the first derby of the season sees Hamilton travel to neighbours Motherwell while fellow new-boys Dundee must wait until September 20 before entertaining their closest rivals United at Dens Park.

New Year's Day is 'derby day' in Scotland, with the Dundee duo renewing rivalries at Tannadice, Aberdeen entertaining St Johnstone, Motherwell travelling to New Douglas Park, Thistle hosting Celtic, Ross County taking on Inverness and Kilmarnock making the short trip to St Mirren.

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
