Gregory Tade: French striker keen to stay at St Johnstone beyond next summer

The 26-year-old joined the Saints on a free transfer last summer and has a contract until June 2014.

Tade has played for five different clubs since beginning his career in 2006 and before joining St Johnstone, but is keen to commit his long-term future to Steve Lomas' side.

"I'm happy here and sure the club will speak to me in due course," he said in the Daily Record. "The future in football is always uncertain. You never know what will happen one year to the next."

Meanwhile, St Johnstone manager Lomas has played down speculation linking midfielder Liam Craig with a move to Hibernian.

"The contract situations are down to the chairman (Steven Brown) and (associate director) Roddy (Grant)," he explained.

"Other teams are able to speak to your players and it's not ideal if you have two or three lads who might decide to sign pre-contracts with clubs.

"But we have an honest group here and whatever pans out I am sure they will remain focused and give their all for us to the end of the season. That's all we can ask.

"The club will do their best to secure the players we are keen to keep. The chairman has tried to set the ball rolling rather than let too many go out of contract in the summer."
