Newcastle midfielder Mehdi Abeid has completed his loan move to St Johnstone.

The 20-year-old Algerian will spent the rest of the season with the Perth-based club.

Abeid is yet to make his Barclays Premier League debut for the Magpies, but has five senior appearances to date, two of them in the club's Europa League campaign.
