Edwards spent last the second half of last season on loan at McDiarmid Park, making seven appearances off the bench.

The 20-year-old has agreed a deal to return to Perth on loan until January.

St Johnstone chief Tommy Wright worked with Edwards last season and is keen to add to him to his squad again.

Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is happy to loan out Edwards so that he can some valuable first-team action under his belt.
