The teams played out an action-packed 3-3 draw at Global Energy Stadium on Saturday.

McKay scored the only goal of the first half with a sweetly taken volley, but Rocco Quinn levelled early in the second period when he lashed the ball high into the net from the edge of the 18 yard box.

The Inverness side restored their lead in the 73rd minute when Richie Foran redirected a McKay shot into the net but it was all square again in the 85th when Iain Vigurs netted with a looping 25-yard shot.

In the second minute of injury time Richard Brittain scored direct from a free-kick but Foran directed a Josh Meekings' knockdown home to ensure the tie ended all square.

McKay said: "It was a great end-to-the game and I think the fans would have gone away happy.

"They saw a thrilling game with six goals but we are disappointed in ourselves at letting two leads slip although, given the week we've had, we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves.

"It is a great feeling to still be in the cup. We are on a great run at the moment, we're scoring goals and we are confident we can get the win in every game we play.

"Hopefully the equaliser is a sign we can go on to win the cup. We're in the semi-final of the League Cup, we are still in the Scottish Cup and going well in the league."

McKay maintained his recent scoring run and said: "I've scored four in the last three games now and it's due to the service of the lads in the team.

"They create the chances and I've taken confidence from putting them away. A lot of people maybe questioned the manager's decision to give me a two year contract in the summer but I hope I've shown I was worth the deal."

Quinn is equally confident his side are capable of going all the way to the final.

He said: "This club has a great reputation in the cups and if we could get to another Scottish Cup final it would be fantastic.

"You never know, there is always that one team that creeps up and ends up in the final. You just never know with the cup games."

Looking ahead to the replay a week on Tuesday he added: "It is a difficult place to go anyway.

"But we have to take the positives from the second half and we have to try start games better than we have been doing.

"Hopefully we can take that into the game down there. Obviously we will try to give it a go and try to get the win."
