Marc McAusland: We have to repay our fans

The dismal defeat to Derek Adams' men was the worst possible preparation for a Scottish Communities League Cup semi-final against a Celtic side they have yet to even score against, never mind defeat, since Danny Lennon took over as boss.

But McAusland believes a win against the Parkhead outfit in Sunday's Hampden fixture would be the best possible way to make up for last week's calamity against the Staggies in Paisley.

He said: "To get beat 4-1 by anyone at home is shocking so we really need to kick on this Sunday.

"I've tried not to think about that game too much. I've tried to erase it from my memory. It's hard to do that though as the gaffer has been on our case a bit. You also feel guilty about the fans who have paid money to come and watch that.

"But we have a chance to try and repay them, more so as it's not just another league game. The fans are looking for us to do that and we owe it to them to reach the final."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
