Despite already securing a deal for Leeds forward Luciano Becchio, Canaries boss Chris Hughton is anxious to add further to his squad.

The former Newcastle boss seems determined to push through a deadline transfer for Hooper, with Celtic said to have again knocked back another improved offer as they look to hold out for a fee closer to their £8million valuation.

Norwich have already seen three offers for Hooper turned down before this latest rejection, but they are remaining on his trail.

Celtic have stood firm thus far, and it remains to be seen if the Scottish champions will relent and lose one of their prized assets on transfer deadline day.
