The Irishman's long-range strike on Sunday sent Hibs into the Scottish Cup quarter-finals - and was the first time a Hibs player other than Griffiths or Doyle had scored since November.
The front pair have netted 23 of Hibernian's 33 goals this season and Deegan hopes more goals can come from midfield and defence.
Deegan said: "I think it encourages everyone now, not just myself, but other boys to chip in with goals and take the pressure off Leigh and Eoin up there because they have been scoring the majority of the goals.
"It would be nice for others to chip in."
Manager Pat Fenlon is now looking for another central midfielder, Jorge Claros, to get off the mark this season following Deegan's first goal for Hibs.
"We have encouraged him and Jorge to try to hit the target a little bit more because both of them strike the ball quite well," Fenlon said.
"Tom Taiwo probably not as much, he's not prolific in front of goal. But those two have got the quality to hit the target."
Deegan immediately ran to Fenlon after the goal, knocking his manager's spectacles off in the ensuing hug, as he enjoyed a high point in a debut season disrupted by a broken jaw suffered when he was the victim of an alleged city centre assault.
Fenlon said: "I was probably more startled that Deegs scored more than anything, particularly the goal he scored.
"No, I was delighted for him because he has had a hard time since has been here.
"He has been stop-start obviously with the incident with his jaw and getting himself back in the team. He started well then that incident knocked him back.
"He has come back and probably been a little bit frustrated but you could see the relief on him more than anything else to get that goal."
Deegan is looking to use his goal as a springboard.
"Coming here was a fresh start, I was enjoying myself and getting a run in the team and then the incident with the broken jaw was my low point.
"But I have just got on with things and with the goal now that can push me on again now."
