Celtic have all but secured the SPL title and after a good run in Europe, Commons wants to win more silverware.

"I don't think anyone expected us to go as far as we did in Europe. That was a bonus," Common told Sky Sports.

"But for us not to try and take all three trophies was disappointing but hopefully we can get the league wrapped up and get to the final and give ourselves the opportunity to do the double this year.

"They [Dundee United] have got some quality players, they are dangerous but we know if we play to our capabilities and bring our A game then it will be really tough for them, but that is one thing saying it and another doing it."

Celtic have lost on their last three visits to Hampden, and Commons knows they need to change their fortunes at the home of Scottish football.

"I enjoy playing at Hampden, on a good day it is a great atmosphere and the games we have lost we have been a unlucky on a couple of occasions," he said.

"When people play against Celtic they have nothing to lose and everything to gain and when we are not at our best people take advantage."
