Fenlon takes Hibs to Tynecastle next Sunday for the clash with Hearts on the back of home defeats to Motherwell and Malmo.

Hibs looked like recovering from their Europa League qualifying nightmare against the Swedes by earning a draw with Motherwell - only to lose a goal seven minutes from time.

But Fenlon was content with much of Hibernian's display in the first league game of the campaign, and he believes there are good reasons to be optimistic for the Hearts match after his charges won 1-0 on their last trip to Tynecastle.

Fenlon said: "Last year we started with a 3-0 defeat at Dundee United and we went on a fantastic run. That's the target this season.

"Everyone says Motherwell are the second best team in the league and we matched them in most departments. Defensively we were solid for most of the game.

"We need to add more in trying to score goals but we will do that over the course of time.

"We'll go there and try to win the game like we did the last time.

"It's three points I'm more interested in, although the supporters will enjoy it if we can go there and win."
